4 Tips to Making the Most of Being at Home
As life in lockdown becomes an established way of living and our world becomes (temporarily) a little smaller, we are all looking for ways to make the most of being at home.
Whether that’s tackling a list of DIY tasks that have been neglected for too long, giving the garden a good going over to welcome in spring, or just spending time with those nearest and dearest to you, we’re all finding ways to feather our nests.
At F&B, we believe in making your bedroom your sanctuary, so here are four tips to help you achieve just that and getting the most out of your bedroom. Sometimes, it’s just the little things...
1. Bed Linen
Spring is well and truly upon us, and we’ve been blessed with some lovely weather - a little positive amongst it all. This change in season brings an uplift in spirits, a shift in the light, and a freshness we encourage you bring into your bedroom.
For an instant uplift, change your bedlinen to something lighter in material and colour. Give your linen cupboard a spring clear out and choose some bed linen that will bring cheer.
If you’re in need of some new bed linen, explore our beautiful collection online. We’ve got all the classics, alongside some newer bed linen sets, such as our perfectly pretty Margot Bed Linen, our crisp white Skye Bed Linen, Jasper brings stripes and cashmere, or why not go all out luxury without Hotel Collection Bed Linen.
It’s no use having beautiful bed linen adorning your bed if your duvet and pillows are sadly lacking! Restorative sleep has never been so important as now, so make sure your bedding is performing as it should, ensuring the quality of your sleep is the best it can be.
Make sure you’re using a duvet tog that’s appropriate for the season. We recommend a 6 – 10.5 tog for spring that is light but will keep you warm on cooler spring nights. Your pillow should support your head and neck properly to help keep your spine aligned. Your sleeping position will determine the kind of pillow you need and how many.
