Recycling service
Take the hassle out of getting rid of your old bed or mattress with our recycling service. It’s the fast, convenient, and environmentally friendly way to make space for your new bed.
We’ll collect your old bed or mattress when we deliver your new one and recycle it at a specialised bed and mattress recycling centre, managed by our parent company, Dreams. Because most of our mattresses are filled with natural materials and largely glue-free, we’re able to recycle almost every part of a mattress; springs are melted down, fibres are recycled, and foam can be cleaned to make carpet underlay.
Our recycling service is available to purchase at checkout.
Our circular commitment
Restorative sleep reaches its highest expression when paired with absolute environmental integrity. Learning how to recycle a mattress properly ensures your bedroom transformation supports broader ecological responsibility. We work with our parent company, Dreams, and our recycling partner to research and explore new uses for every part of our products.

Simple preparation for mattress recycling pickup
We handle the heavy lifting, requiring only minimal preparation before our arrival. Upon booking, we dispatch durable green recycling bags directly to your home.
Simply follow these packing guidelines before delivery day:
-
Bed Frames & Headboards: Disassemble the frame. Place the head end and foot end in one bag, side rails and fixings in a second, and slats in a third. Wrap headboards completely in a single bag.
-
Divans & Sofa Beds: Enclose single divans in one bag and split bases in separate bags. Fully cover sofa bed ends to enclose all fabric and mechanisms.
-
Mattresses: Strip all linens and seal the dry mattress securely within its dedicated green bag.
Due to health and safety regulations, unsealed or unprepared items cannot be collected by our delivery teams.
What happens to my old bed or mattress when it's recycled?
Your bed or mattress are broken down into their base materials, separated and compacted into large bales to help save space when we transport to other recycling destinations.
-
Natural Fillings: Wool, bamboo, hemp, and flax are extracted, purified, and cycled directly back into mattress production.
-
Steel Springs & Hardware: Springs, brackets, and bolts are melted down for new light iron manufacturing.
-
Memory Foam: Layered foams are thoroughly sanitised to create high-density carpet underlay or directed to energy-from-waste processing.
-
Timber Frames: Solid wood elements are chipped and converted into sustainable fuel.
-
Covers & Textiles: Mattress covers are transformed into a green fossil fuel alternative, while polyester fibres enter the textile blending industry for new products.
We work closely with our parent company, Dreams, and our recycling partner to research and explore new uses for every part of our products.
