Standard mattresses are fully compatible with our divans, though we recommend a high-quality pocket-sprung mattress to fully realise the comfort benefits of the base. A divan bed offers a uniform platform, allowing the internal springs of the mattress to respond accurately to the body’s movements. Every bed we commission is built for quality and longevity. As such, we recommend that you replace our divan beds every eight to ten years. This is because over time, the internal structure and upholstery naturally settles, which can affect the support provided to your mattress. Replacing your divan alongside a new mattress ensures both components work in harmony to provide a restorative environment and lasting comfort.
