National Make Your Bed Day
This Friday, September 11th, some of us will be celebrating one of the more quirky national days of the year: National Make Your Bed Day. So if you’re one of those people who usually leave their bed to air out during the day, or are just too lazy to make your bed in the mornings; why not join thousands of others in turning over a new leaf this week?
Making your bed shouldn’t be a chore, far from it, and in fact can have many benefits. If you’re a habitual non-bed maker, read on below and see if we can change your mind!
After spending some time researching making your bed advantages, there were so many that we couldn’t possibly include them all in this blog, so here are some of the best…
Leaving your bed cluttered and messy can lead to unproductivity later in the day. Experts have claimed that with your mind starting the day in this way, it’s sometimes difficult to break the habit and often leads to you muddling through the day until it’s time to fall back into bed again. (This one is from the Feng Shui school of thought!)
Also, making your bed helps if you’re an unfortunate allergy sufferer, like me! This tip is quite well-known with a quick spruce up often helping to keep the dust mites at bay. When the covers are pulled up during the day, less dust and allergens can get between your sheets.
