Get the Trend: Shades of Grey

Grey might be the new magnolia – but just because it’s neutral, doesn’t mean it’s dull. Here, we show you how to play with shades and textures to create a space that feels cool, calm and collected...

Going Grey

Sophisticated and versatile, the trend for grey interiors is not just a flash in the pan.

But while it certainly has staying power, it’s worth mixing up your textures to prevent your bedroom looking too samey. Start with an upholstered bed. Our textured weave fabrics range from a lighter shade (Silver Mist) to very dark (Charcoal). The focal point of any bedroom, your upholstered bed can also help dictate the other décor choices you make – go for a pale-coloured linen if your fabric is dark, and the reverse if your fabric is light.

Silver Lining

Silver and grey have always been natural bedfellows (pardon the pun). For a more luxe feel and to brighten the look of your bedroom, try adding accents of silver to your grey colour scheme. From the icy cool of our Luis Lamp to the warmth of our Silver Grey Velvet Cushion, silver can transform your space – making it elegant and refined, with just a bit of edge.

It’s All White

Because it’s neutral, grey looks beautiful with a range of colours and can work well as a backdrop to shades of dusky pinks and cool blues. But to make grey itself centre-stage, there’s really only one colour you can pair it with: good old white. For a twist on the classic white bed linen, we’re mad about our Hotel Collection Wide Stripe. With a lavish 600-thread count and a shimmering satin stripe, this is linen with oodles of luxury that’s anything but dull…
