Top 3: Ideal Home Show highlights

Having visited the Ideal Home Show 2017 last week, we’ve put together our top 3 show highlights, which we just can’t keep to ourselves any longer! Read on and let us know if you agree...

  1. George Clarke’s Rotating Home

We couldn’t possibly imagine anything else at number one. An incredible design, this rotating home is encased within a 3.5 tonne, 4.3 metre tall aluminium drum. It is essentially four rooms in one space that literally turns on its head. Amazing! With a minimal design – its only static room is the bathroom, which comes with a toilet and bath. A futuristic home which has definitely caught the eye this year.

  1. 21st century Cottage show home

A traditional cottage with a modern, contemporary and stylish interior, we think the 21st century cottage is well worth a visit. The show describes the home as a ‘cottage for a couple’s weekend retreat’, and we couldn’t agree more. Heading inside, the cottage displays the change from traditional to modern with a stylish and comfortable interior. You’ll also be able to find a few Feather & Black pieces of furniture here too.

  1. Interior Styling Stage

New to this year’s show was the Interior Styling Stage – where a number of industry experts demonstrated everything from upcycling demos to space saving storage solutions. A nice idea, perfect for resting your feet while listening to a few handy tips, which may be useful for your own home.

Did you go to the show? Let us know what your personal highlight was in the comments. We’ve also got a Pinterest board full of our favourite things from the show – take a peek here.

See you soon,

Feather & Black.
