Trend spotting at Decorex International

The past couple of weeks have been busy here at F&B, we have been preparing for the SS14 season and making our final decisions on the beautiful product we are going to be launching in March next year… very exciting! Although we've had lots going on in the office, I did manage to get out for a couple of hours and head over to Decorex International last week. Decorex is an exquisite interiors event held in London showcasing the very best in luxury Interior design and supply.

It was really exciting to see exhibitors showcase some extremely beautiful fabrics, furnishings and finishes used by some of the leading designers in the industry.

My favourite part of the show is the stunning displays which are truly inspiring, the layering of textures and colours and the props used to create theatre really make every exhibitor stand out from one another. Here are some snippets from what I found at the show…

I love the bright ‘pop’ of colour in this room set, a very basic background of neutral tones on furniture and walls is brought to life with bright accessories and luxurious velvets. Simply stunning.

Bringing the outdoors indoors: these two exhibitors have used real trees as a display to sit with their floral inspired textiles, a nice touch!

Bird prints are still on trend and these two beautiful prints are a great example…

To the right is one we made earlier, featured in Good Homes magazine back in 2012. This beautiful bed is a great example of how you can really make a unique product for your bedroom by choosing from one of our bespoke upholstered bedframes… prices start from £499.

The travelling trend is getting more and more apparent in homewares, and this exhibitor demonstrates great use of props for dressing empty spaces in the bedroom.

Our F&B Houston trunks work well as part of this theme. Placed at the end of the bed they look great and are really useful as a storage solution.

Mirrored furniture with a 1920’s design is a great way of making a statement using furniture, extremely exsquisite style… try our gatsby range to create a similar look.
