Coastal Bedroom Ideas

With the new autumn season in full swing it means exciting things for Feather & Black – most importantly all our lovely new ranges start appearing. Our Cornwall Collection is just one of the new ranges we have introduced this season. If you love the look and feel of cosy coastal cottages but you’re stuck for bedroom ideas on how to incorporate this look into your home, then these sturdy wooden pieces would be a great starting point.

The collection includes a beautiful, white wooden bed, a tall and wide chest of drawers, a wardrobe and bedside table – all giving a fantastic amount of storage and style to boot. The combination of the shaker design, warm white birch drawers and darker solid oak tops are perfect examples of coastal inspired furniture, but would also look great in a variety of interior themes.

Coastal inspired bedrooms exude tranquillity and calmness and are a timeless interior design style. Coastal can be interpreted in a variety of ways; from sophisticated and sleek to whimsical and bohemian;- there are endless opportunities to inject pieces of your personality into your bedroom design. Classic interpretations include weathered wood panelling, stripes, nautical accessorises and a subdued palette. Why not try experimenting with brighter, bolder colours and vivid artwork for a modern twist on the coastal look.

Coastal Colour Palette

While coastal bedrooms may have connotations of summer trips to the seaside, it’s easy to create a cosier look that’s perfect for the autumn season. Light blues and pastel pinks are great for summery seaside bedrooms but with the onset of colder weather opt for a palette of dusky pinks, dark blues and hues of duck egg for a warmer feel that still inspires coastal living.
