Women need more sleep: It's Official

According to research conducted by the Sleep Research Centre at Loughborough University, women need more sleep than men. Apparently women work their brains harder in the day resulting in them requiring around 20 minutes more sleep a night than men. Women tend to really work the part of their brain called the ‘Cerebral Cortex’ which is responsible for intelligence, language, memory and consciousness, it seems that it is all down to women being able to multi task and spend their day constantly switching from one task to the other! National Bed Month is upon us

This month is The Sleep Council’s ‘National Bed Month’ running from 1st -31st March, so we thought we would take a look at how beds have been represented in the media through the years with some examples you may recognize and some you will not! There have been some rather interesting designs out there! As some of you may remember in 1969 John Lennon and Yoko Ono staged a ‘Bed-In’ this was a peace protest against the Vietnam War, one ‘Bed-In’ was held in Amsterdam and the other in Montreal each lasting 7 days each.
