A winning relationship

Here at Feather & Black we feel that supporting a good cause is important, for us Macmillan Cancer Support was our first choice.

One in three of us will get cancer. It’s the toughest fight most of us will ever face. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed, you need a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. That’s who weare.

We are the nurses and therapists helping you through treatment. The experts on the end of the phone. The advisers telling you which benefits you’re entitled to. The volunteers giving you a hand with the everyday things. The campaigners improving cancer care. The community supporting you online, any time. The fundraisers who make it all possible.

When the time is right, you can do something to help. We can all be part of the team. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.

Here at Feather and Black we feel strongly about this issue and in 2009 we formed a partnership with Macmillan, since then we have been engaging with customers and staff raising over £27,000 so far.

Our Managing Director Adam Black commented on why we choose to support MacMillan “I wanted to support Macmillan in this fundraising partnership because increasingly we all know someone close to us who is living with cancer. It affects our staff and our customers.  Macmillan does an outstanding job in raising awareness and supporting those affected by cancer; we are delighted to help in our small way”.

Over the last two years we’ve held a ‘Penny in The Pound’ sales promotion giving Macmillan 1p for every £1 spent in our stores. This has raised over £15,000 and we plan more ‘Penny in the Pound’ promotions for 2012. We also donate 50p for every customer that signs up to receive more information about our products and offers in store.
