At 28, John Reeves is one of the youngest and most talented furniture designers in the UK and has won several awards for his work.

Complete freedom was given on design of this bed and the result is truly unique. 'The Caprice' was designed exclusively for Feather & Black by John Reeves with clear inspiration from the female bra!

The bed itself was initially hand carved in wood, and once completed, moulds created from the positive form. Because of the complex shape of the bed, it had to be cut into sections for casting. The bed is made from 100% recycled aluminium, galvanised and the treated to leave a natural blue-black patina finish. Course sand used in the casting process leaves little dimples imprinted on the metal, adding to the natural raw beauty of the finish.
